A guillotine door seal is a sealing system designed to prevent the ingress of air, dust, water, or other external elements around or beneath doors. This type of seal is primarily used for doors requiring precise sealing and isolation—such as those in buildings with high standards for acoustic and thermal insulation. The system consists of a movable strip or profile installed at the bottom edge of the door; when the door closes, this component automatically lowers to fill the gap between the door and the floor or door frame.

The term “guillotine” refers to the operating mechanism of this seal, which functions similarly to a guillotine: when the door closes, the seal moves vertically downward, and it returns to its original position when the door is opened. These types of seals are particularly used for soundproof doors, fire doors, or exterior doors that require effective insulation. The HTN Prime guillotine-style door bottom seal is available in three sizes—92 cm, 107 cm, and 122 cm—and can be adjusted or cut by up to 20 cm as needed. The main material of this weatherstrip is aluminum; the lower section is made of high-density plastic, and the pin component is brass.
